Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 3 g Salt
- 15 g Sugar
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp Natron (Sodium Bicarbonate)
- 250 ml Buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 50 g melted butter
Steps
- Melt the butter and let it cool a little bit.
- Mix all dry ingredients.
- Mix the eggs and the buttermilk.
- Combine the milk-egg mixture with the flour mixture and beat until
smooth.
- Add the hand-warm butter to the batter and beat until combined.
- Melt some butter on medium heat in a frying pan. Add the batter to
the frying pan, such that you end up with pancakes of roughly 7cm
diameter. When the batter is throwing small bubbles turn around and bake
for another 1-2 minutes.
Variations:
- A variety of toppings like maple syrup, berries or icing sugar make
for a sweet breakfast.
- For desserts, make them a little bit smaller and serve with berries
and yogurt.
